Ring Leader

I just was sitting here thinking about my favorite magazine spreads and undoubtedly they were always from Elle or W magazine. I swear they never miss the mark.Anyway, here is a little tribute to one of my favorites from W.....

**p.s. go get a ticket to her Circus Tour. Dont Lie you know u want one!**

Mrs. Brown

Even though its cold and rainy today I would still like to be sporting this outfit. I absolutely love the blue button down with the feminine skirt. She is not afraid to take risks...anyone remember the black white knee high sandals (not so sure about those), but this outfit is a bunch of safe elements that still come off edgy and fresh. The skirt is Sienna Miller's Twenty8Twelve line.

She actually has some really really cute pieces. Remember how cute Sienna was in Alfie??

Now she is topless on boats all over the place....hmmm anyway she still makes cute skirts!

My Summer House

There is something about a J Crew ad that just makes you assume that the models all have summer homes and grew up as kids jumping of docks into serene lakes after sipping lemonade. The clothes literally make you want to buy them just to feel like the ad...however the reason why these ads evoke a class and comfort is because the clothes really are classic and comfortable. Check out two new Spring looks they have just debuted. Not only do I want to be going where ever these women are going in these outfits, but I also want all the layers that make up these fresh ensembles!

A Diva is the Female Version of a Hustler

There is definitely a reason why blazers just never really seem to go away. If worn right they go with everything from a sequin new mini to black pants (the right black pants arden b & bebe not included blughh) to jeans and sometimes.... if your really daring even shorts! A slouchy blazer can channel your inner Ashlee Simpson and you can convincingly pull off that black spandex mini skirt you are not quite sure about. A fitted blazer can bring out your inner diva and possibly even convince you that you should wear this blazer with your agent provocateur only underneath :). The bottom line is they are a staple and must have of any wardrobe. The beauty of them is they can be cheap and/or expensive either way this piece is an invesment.

Emerald City

I can only imagine that seeing some of these in real life would feel like the Tin Man & Scarecrow felt like when the finally reached Emerald City. These perfect facades should not only be valued for the timeless shoes & handbags or trendy acessories housed inside, but for their homes themselves......

Is 21 the Age Limit?

Ok so if you are like some of us, especially our guest advisor Miss Black... you can not walk into a trendy mall store like Forever 21 regardless of the steal that you might find. The music is always at a level that makes you unable to focus, the hangers are entangled for days, and the sea of 12 year olds wearing the intended seperates all at once is slightly overwhelming.

The question I pose is....If you could turn down the music, detangle the plastic hangers and empty all of the Miley Cyrus wannabees would there be something there worth its weight in gold? I am going to go out on a limb and say yes!

Forever 21 has debuted two new lines (Heritage 1981 & TwentyOne) that rarely involve black sequins or any shiny gold spandex. They are cute, wearable & cheap enough to not feel guilty for only wearing once. Layer these pieces with your snazzier items that are not cheap enough to only wear once and I think the searching might just be worth it....

Hob Knobbing

Ok so maybe I was the last to know this (which is quite possible), but Anthropologie has a really really cute home line. Some of the furniture is gorgeous, although insanely overpriced. What I have come across lately is their home accessories, which are NOT insanely overpriced and they feel like a find that only you have found! Recently, I purchased a set of bowls that make me think I am a part of Hollywood Regency 60s shin dig thrown by Ralph Lauren. The bowls were $12 a piece! Last night I came across these vintage looking handles and knobs that are super cheap and can dress up any kitchen , closet, or a boring dresser.....

Argyle is so Jenna!

I love these vintage Vogue shots. They make me want to go get my argyle socks and an oversized boyfriend's button down. There is something undoubtedly timelessly cute and naughty about this look. Now, I am not suggesting wearing all pieces at once....however, its not a sin to integerate a few knee socks and sweater vest here and there :) ***P.S. Jenna is a good thing ;)

Love at First Sight......& Bite

Honestly if you have never had a Sprinkles cupcake it should be put on your list of "to do at least ten times before I die". They are that good and worth the ridiculously long line it takes to get them. Sprinkles cupcakes were definitely the in dessert two years ago, but they have stood the test of their 15 minutes of fame and they are still worth every bite. Look how cute these Valentine's Day cakes are??? Plus anything made with sweet cream butter and Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla is worth every inch!

***YOU CAN NOW PERSONALIZE your Sprinkles cupcakes with letter decorations....Ummmm I am even more in L-O-V-E**

Lazy Daze In the Hamptons

Not sure if you have seen these on one of your favs Lauren Conrad or Nicky Hilton, but they are sinfully perfect. Seems ridiculous to spend any kind of money on this trendy lazy sweatshirt, but not when it makes you look that cute. The Lampton's Hoodie by Blue & Cream is sold out everywhere and I basically think that I need one immediately. How adorable are the colors??? If you find one, give it to me! :)

Unisex is the better Sex

I am not sure if you have ever worn anything American Apparel, but as staple items go it is the only way to go. The cost is super reasonable and there clothes effortlessly look like you knew exactly the person you wanted to be when getting dressed that morning. Alot of their basic t-shirts and various items are unisex, but it works. These items are some of my favs among the many others they have to offer.

Who doesnt need a Gold Medallion?

I really am in love with The House of Harlow Jewlery. Its not outrageously and expensive and it is such the right mix of statement and bohemian. You can just tell that it is Nicole Richie's actual style which I love. This necklace is to die for. The length is perfecto!

Home is Where the <3 is

In paying homage to my fav mag being dunzzo I thought I should post some of my favorite rooms that dominomag.com has featured thru out the year. I like to imagine the life I would lead in each room.Happy Day Dreaming! '

*Naturally I would start with a closet....

Which Fork Do I Use?

I would have no clue to the kind of etiquette it might require to actually dine in these rooms on a daily basis, but I have a feeling it might be worth it to figure out what fork I am supposed to use..

Living Rooms

Obviously Color is not an Issue for me....

Great Kitchens

" I understand the concept of cooking, just not it as it applies to me". Great quote and these gorgeous kitchens dont look like anyone who lives there does any cooking anyway. Right up my Alley!

The End of an Era

Today is dooms day for me. One of my favorite all time magazines Domino is down for the count. The devestation of the reality of it's demise has not completely set in, but it is quite possible when it does it wont be pretty. The magazine and the website are honeslty unlike any other decorating magazine that you might find on your best friends coffee table. The ideas, photos, blogs, and the feeling that you were always on the cusp when using Domino as your handbook to all things fresh and chic is gone. I cant help but feel like singing "another one bites the dust". To all you Domino lovers you will understand my dramatic post and to all of you unware of the Domino impact please forgive me for my theatrics.

**I just bought the book so I will have a little something to trust when I need a new wallpaper or paint idea

The Traveler

Since apparently lately I am obsessed with all things
Louis I thought this new item from the
2009 Marc Jacobs Cruise Collection
was note worthy. With the current state
of most of our wallets this bag might represent
a lifestyle of distant memory, however I am dreaming big
because this needs to be jet setting
with me to Rome sooner than later :)

*Described as the ultimate 24 hour bag I am sold!

3.1

I am not sure if you have taken a moment to check out Phillip Lim's Spring Collection, but it is worth a viewing. This sparkly number Camilla Belle is wearing is just one of many genius little frocks that basically need to be worn somewhere. If you dont have a snazzy red carpet appearance in your future I suggest being over dressed at your next shin dig in something of Lim's. Wearing anything in this collection is pretty much just worth it!

*Side note the Tweed Rhinestone Shift Dress (not pictured is a must have for all body types)

The Grinch Who Stole Feb 14th

To all of you Valentine's Day cynics I thought that this would be appropriate card to give.Even if you dont like the holiday you ultimately always have to give at least a card. Cards based on the idea thats it better to just say what we mean instead of hide behind some mushy poem that is not at all how you are feeling. These are just ridiculous but perfect. All things etsy are usually this good by the way, check out the website you can get lost for days!

Prague and Ms. Poppins

Looking out my window the clouds look alot like a cold windy day in Prague. Unfortunately, I dont see any medieval castles and now my mind is wandering to the perfect Stefani esque Louis Vuitton Carry On I spotted while window shopping. Ahhhh how I wish I would have been impulsive enough to purchase. I would post where to find it but, if I knew I would have it! So if anyone ever sees this divine gift from King Louis please let me know.

Dont you picture this being Mary Poppins bag if she was the nanny for Seal and Heidi Klum?

BeatnikLand

Rainy days like today tend to make me feel artsy and I just love everything about this limited edition Beatnik illustration by Linn Olofsdotter orginially from Sweden. I want to decorate a room around this.

O Style

In honor of the recent & historic inauguration day. ...this moment in time is a pic of the Kennedy's master bedroom decorated by Jackie O. Just makes you wonder how the Obama suite will look. I love this room classic and so before its time or maybe we are just repeating style history. This room would fit in perfect in any new White House style revamp! Maybe Michelle will take some tips :)

Thriller!

Who says we have to lose all the fun and flashiness after midnight? This whole outfit is to die for with a an omage to Michael's Thriller. I love love this look!
