Cocktail Hour

I am all about a fun cocktail ring, although they are everywhere these days I think the right one is hard to find. You cant bare to spend too much on them because undoubtedly you will be sick of it at one point, but you dont want one that every time you place it on your finger turns your skin green. The dilemna leaves me constantly searching. I think Anthropologie gives us both. Their rings are noticeable, but effortless. They are not $25 or $250, the prices lie somewhere in between. They also probably wont leave you needing to wash up after wearing them. Here are a few of my favs!

I think the new Three Stack Platforms are maybe worth selling my first born for. I mean wouldnt your first born understand??? The Sandal Platforms are his answer to the YSL version and they are even better in nude. Give me a break think of the possibilities with these dream boats!!

Ok so a few weeks ago I was saying to my bff that I really wanted one of those huge ornate necklaces that Olivia Palermo wears on The City. They look straight out of Fairy Tale Theater. Anyway, so today to my surprise on WhoWhatWearDaily, the featured accessory are these various Bib necklaces. Everyone from Jcrew to Vera Wang to Valentino is featuring these necklaces in their spring lines so I suggest finding your fav sooner than later. On a side note I wanted to look particularly into who makes the one that Olivia (even though she seriously is not nice) rocks quite often & I think I found a gold mine! Maybe I just really really want it to be summer, but I think these new items from the Spring Line of 291 from Venice are all needed items. Wearing these tunics as just a beach cover-up is right up my alley. I think this line is getting better too it used to be a little more Paris and its getting to be alot more Nicole :) Ahhh these make me think of the smell of sunscreen and sand! Last seasons trend of cut-off jean shorts is flying right thru to spring & summer. You might have noticed Nicole Richie & Ashley Olsen wearing them quite often. Most times the favorites are Siwy! Many months ago I was introduced to the website http://www.whowhatweardaily.com/ & if you have not seen it, take a look you will not go another day with out checking it out. My fav is when they do their "Girl Of the Month". The girl is always gorgeous with ridiculous style. This month it is model Dree Hemingway, side note why do these girls also always have the best names. It would be nice if with being gorgeous and having access to the best clothes on the planet they could at least have some plain name that make us feel like they were sort of normal in one way. Anyway....my favorite look was this flannel unbuttoned over her agent provocateur's gangster bra. So hard to pull off this look but she does it perfectly.

Remember how ridiculously amazing Sarah Jessica Parker was in the movie "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!" The scene where her love dance partner wows her in his tight 501 jeans with a bandana wrapped around his knee is memorable to say the least. Well I think I will have the same love and ownership over this shirt as I do that wonderful 80s flick. Luvs it! So lately you might have noticed that you are starting to see a lot of noticeable items by skate/surf brands that previoulsy have obvioulsy treated their girl's lines like an after thought. Gone are the days of clothing designed only for pre-teens. Brands like Obey, Quicksilver, LRG & Cheap Monday among many others are actually coming out with clothes that you can buy guilty free. Theyare still priced to sell to teens, but are really cute. Here are just a few randoms, but start looking around because these have some stuff worth taking a second look at.

"Quietly Cool"

Alexander Wang self described his new t-shirt line as "Quietly Cool" and I think they are everything but Quiet. They will be my next guilt free- impulsive purchase (yes impulsive and guilt free can go together in this case). The line of rayon racer-back tanks and to-the-calf dresses, cropped and below-the-hip T-shirts, baby ribbed camisoles, and plunging V-necks in supima cotton is straight genius. Wang says that he used to sleep in his t-shirts the night before to get the v-neck to hang perfectly. Now, I dont recommend sleeping in your clothes in an effort to get the perfect "hang", but I do recommend searching for these new Alexander items immediately. Nothing is over $120 and I think confidence is sewn into the actual material...if thats possible! The Line is called T by Alexander Wang & they go with everything I promise :)

That is the home page when you first log on to http://www.dylangeorge.com/ and I love it :) I have noticed Dylan George's denim a few times over the last 6 months but have tried to look away because they arent easily funded out of my piggy bank, however I came across them again on Saturday and they might be the answer to ALL of my problems. The wash was pretty perfect and they just look like jeans you would feel were made exactly for you no matter what your current shape or size :). I am not sure the pics do them justice, so go find them and take a look for yourself. They tend to be sold in little boutiques and sometimes at Neimans and Saks. I might just like saying "Tulle Overlay", but I figure any clothing item that has a Tulle Overlay would make you feel very pretty. I picture wearing this dress after a couple of days at the beach with bronzed shoulders :) hehe ok maybe thats a little to detailed, but I like it! We stumbled upon this dress at Nordies on Friday and it caught my eye then as well. It just keeps popping up so I think someone is trying to tell me I need an event to wear it to asap!

Alright so even if you say you dont watch The City on MTV....I know that you do, but what I do not know is if you have noticed the insane Bergdorf Goodman Restaurant featured on the show that is actually my favorite character of them all. The girls tend to meet there when discussing someone cheating on someone else, but I became less concered about these girls and their cheating boyfriends and more about the insane backgrounds they were having these convos in. This restaurant is designed by one of my favs Kelly Wearstler, please note her name, i guarantee you she has designed any hotel in LA or NY that has been in any magazine or tv show in the last 5 years. She is a genius!!!
